Very expected game in Tokushima where 14th rankedTachikawa (17-35) was edged by ninth ranked Gambarous (25-27) 72-69 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. DR Congolese center David Kongolo (206-2002) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Michael Phillips (202-1990, college: Howard) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-1990, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Gambarous have an impressive five-game winning streak. Tokushima Gam. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Yamaguchi. Tachikawa lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 35 games lost.
