Regular Season Round 53: Kawasaki BT - Yokohama BC 98-93

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked B-Corsairs (23-30) lost to eighth ranked Brave Thunders (16-37) in Kanagawa 93-98 on Wednesday. Kawasaki looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and American Alize Johnson (206-1996, college: Missouri St.) accounted for 17 points and 15 rebounds. French power forward Damien Inglis (206-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and American Gary Clark (198-1994, college: Cincinnati) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Yokohama BC in the defeat. Five Kawasaki and four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kawasaki moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Koshigaya A. Loser B-Corsairs keeps the seventh position with 30 games lost. Kawasaki will meet higher ranked Sunrockers Sh. (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama BC will play against Nagoya DD and hope to secure a win.
