Very important is a road loss of second rankedThunders (33-17) against fourth ranked Happinets (24-26) on Wednesday night. Visiting Thunders were defeated by Happinets in a tough game in Akita 62-66 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Thunders. American Tanner Leissner (201-1995, college: UNH) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (206-1995, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Mekowulu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American center Kaleb Tarczewski (212-1993, college: Arizona) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Kazuki Hosokawa (187-1997) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Akita NH maintains fourth position with 24-26 record, which they share with FE Nagoya. Gunma CT at the other side keeps the second place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Sea Horses M. and Chiba Jets.
