Rather predictable result when fifth rankedSwoops (29-19) won against 9th ranked Shinagawa (22-27) in Gifu 72-68 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) who scored that evening 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Zena Edosomwan (206-1993, college: Harvard, agency: Diamond Sports) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) did not help to save the game for Shinagawa . Center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) added 9 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Swoops have an impressive five-game winning streak. Gifu maintains fifth position with 29-19 record. Shinagawa lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 27 games lost.
