Everything went according to plan in Sapporo where first rankedGolden Kings (35-13) outscored 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (18-30) 93-68 on Saturday. Ryukyu dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L. 's 28. They outrebounded Hokkaido L. 39-20 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ryukyu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. International center Alex Kirk (211-1991, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Filipino guard Dwight Ramos (193-1998, college: CPP) who recorded 18 points and point guard Shuto Terazono (172-1994) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Ryukyu and four Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Golden Kings have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Ryukyu maintains first position with 35-13 record, which they share with Alvark Tokyo. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the fifth place with 30 games lost.
