There was no surprise in Sendai where 8th ranked89ers (8-38) were defeated by fourth ranked Happinets (22-24) 84-77 on Saturday. Akita NH shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American Tanner Leissner (201-1995, college: UNH) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Taiwanese forward Mohammad Gadiaga (188-1998) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Stanton Kidd (202-1992, college: Colorado St.) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Hirohide Araya (189-1998) scored 23 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita NH maintains fourth position with 22-24 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. Sendai 89ers lost fifteenth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 38 games lost.
