Very important is a road loss of third rankedBrave Warriors (33-20) against seventh ranked Firebonds (13-40) on Saturday night. Visiting Brave Warriors were crushed by Firebonds in Fukushima 78-53 . Fukushima dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Brave Warriors 's 18. Fukushima outrebounded Shinshu 42-26 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukushima players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Morris Udeze (206-1999, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Hungarian forward Mikael Hopkins (206-1993, college: Georgetown) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Firebonds players scored in double figures. Firebonds' coach Takahiro Kurihara felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and guard Kaito Ishikawa (170-1990) added 8 points in the effort for Shinshu. Fukushima maintains seventh place with 13-40 record. Shinshu at the other side dropped to the second position with 20 games lost. They share it with Kagoshima.
