Regular Season Round 46: Nagoya DD - Shiga L-Stars 80-93

There was a surprise result in Nagoya where eighth ranked Lakestars (6-39) defeated higher ranked Dolphins (25-21) 93-80 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dolphins's 36. Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) scored 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Lakestars players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Zylan Cheatham (203-1995, college: Arizona St.) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Shiga L-Stars maintains eighth position with 6-39 record. Loser Dolphins keeps the fourth place with 21 games lost. They share the position with Sunrockers Sh.. Shiga L-Stars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nagoya DD will play against Shiga L-Stars (#8) and hope to secure a win.
