Regular Season Round 46: Hiroshima D. - Sea Horses M. 80-87

Rather expected game in Hiroshima where 5th ranked Dragonflies (22-24) were defeated by third ranked SeaHorses (31-15) 87-80 on Saturday. Sea Horses M. made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Sea Horses M. outrebounded Hiroshima D. 50-36 including 16 on the offensive glass. Point guard Yoshiaki Kubota (175-1997) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 12 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dragonflies' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sea Horses M. moved-up to second place, which they share with Chiba Jets and Gunma CT. Loser Dragonflies dropped to the fourth position with 24 games lost. They share it with Akita NH. Sea Horses M. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hiroshima D. will play against Sea Horses M. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
