Regular Season Round 45: Kawasaki BT - Ryukyu GK 111-116

Very expected game in Kanagawa where 8th ranked Brave Thunders (14-31) were defeated by first ranked Golden Kings (32-13) 116-111 on Wednesday. Ryukyu made 29-of-37 free shots (78.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 28 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was British-American power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (212-1998, college: NC State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Golden Kings have a solid series of four victories in a row. Ryukyu maintains first place with 32-13 record. Loser Brave Thunders dropped to the sixth position with 31 games lost. They share it with Koshigaya A. and Saga B.. Ryukyu will meet at home league's second-placed Gunma CT in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kawasaki will play against Chiba Jets (#3) and hope to secure a win.
