Regular Season Round 40: Kawasaki BT - Sea Horses M. 91-104

No shocking result in a game in Kanagawa where third ranked SeaHorses (28-12) defeated 8th ranked Brave Thunders (13-27) 104-91 on Wednesday. Sea Horses M. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Brave Thunders's 20 and made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game. Sea Horses M. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek-American center Zach Auguste (208-1993, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and American forward Jake Layman (206-1994, college: Maryland) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Alize Johnson (206-1996, college: Missouri St.) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sea Horses M. keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu. Loser Brave Thunders dropped to the sixth place with 27 games lost. They share the position with Koshigaya A.. Sea Horses M. will meet Yokohama BC (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Kawasaki will play against Sunrockers Sh. in Tokyo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
