Very predictable result when second rankedThunders (29-10) rolled over 8th ranked 89ers (8-31) in Gunma 95-73 on Sunday. Gunma CT dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to 89ers ' 30. Gunma CT outrebounded Sendai 89ers 39-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 15 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Thunders players scored in double figures. American Nathan Boothe (208-1994, college: Toledo) came up with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and point guard Shota Watanabe (168-1998) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Sendai 89ers in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Thunders .
