An interesting game forChiba (41-3) which played road game in Toyama against 3rd ranked Grouses (28-16). First ranked Chiba had an easy win 108-72 . Chiba made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Toyama G. 's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Chiba made 7 blocks. The winners were led by American center Dererk Pardon (203-1996, college: Northwestern) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) supported him with 23 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by American-Filipino forward Eugene Phelps (198-1990, college: LBSU) did not help to save the game for Toyama G. . American forward Aaron White (206-1992, college: Iowa, agency: Slash Sports) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba maintains first position with 41-3 record. Loser Grouses keeps the third place with 16 games lost.
