There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedGambarous (16-24) edged higher ranked Big Bulls (25-13) in Tokushima 65-62 on Sunday. Tokushima Gam. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Big Bulls 's 28. American power forward Jeremy Combs (201-1995, college: Texas Southern) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) supported him with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds by American-Australian forward Kyrin Galloway (203-1999, college: UNCG) did not help to save the game for Iwate . American forward Clay Mounce (199-1998, college: Furman) added 17 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Iwate players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tokushima Gam. moved-up to twelfth place. Iwate at the other side keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost.
