There was no surprise when 14th rankedPats Five (14-24) lost to third ranked Five Arrows (29-7) in Yamaguchi 59-71 on Sunday. They outrebounded Yamaguchi 43-26 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Brekkott Chapman (206-1996, college: Weber St.) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St., agency: Diamond Sports) supported him with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) did not help to save the game for Yamaguchi . Freddie McSwain Jr (201-1994, college: Indiana, agency: Haylett Sports) added 11 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Five Arrows have a solid three-game winning streak. Kagawa maintains third position with 29-7 record having seven points less than leader Yokohama EX. Yamaguchi at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 24 games lost. They share the position with Kanazawa.
