Regular Season Round 33: Koshigaya A. - Gunma CT 67-87

Not a big story in a game in Tokyo where 6th ranked Alphas (11-22) were rolled over by second ranked Thunders (24-9) 87-67 on Wednesday. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Kaleb Tarczewski (212-1993, college: Arizona) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Brazilian-American center Tim Soares (211-1997, college: Master's) who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Gunma CT and four Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gunma CT keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Ryukyu. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. keeps the sixth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Saga B.. Gunma CT will meet FE Nagoya (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Koshigaya A. will play against Hiroshima D. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
