Regular Season Round 33: Sea Horses M. - Alvark Tokyo 65-87

Very significant was Alvark Tokyo's (#2) 22-point road victory against 3rd placed Sea Horses M. 87-65. Alvark Tokyo players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by SeaHorses' players. Spanish Sebastian Saiz (205-1994, college: Ole Miss) nailed 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Kai Toews (188-1998, college: UNCW) accounted for 15 points and 10 assists. Five Alvark Tokyo players scored in double figures. Point guard Yoshiaki Kubota (175-1997) came up with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Jake Layman (206-1994, college: Maryland) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for SeaHorses in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alvark Tokyo maintains second place with 23-10 record having four points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Sea Horses M. at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Alvark Tokyo will play against league's leader Ryukyu in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sea Horses M. will play at home against Saga B. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
