LeaderExcellence delivered the twenty eighth win on Sunday night. This time they beat 13th ranked Pats Five (12-18) 98-82 in Yokohama. They also forced 21 Yamaguchi turnovers. Strangely Yamaguchi outrebounded Yokohama 47-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Yamaguchi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Guard Tatsuya Nishiyama (171-1988) chipped in 22 points. Four Excellence players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 23 rebounds and guard Issei Tomida (188-1998) added 17 points respectively. Pats Five's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Yokohama maintains first position with 28-4 record. Yamaguchi lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Shanan Utd.
