Regular Season Round 32: Nagoya DD - Osaka E. 102-94

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Osaka E. (16-16) against fifth ranked Dolphins (17-15) on Sunday night. Visiting Osaka E. was defeated by Dolphins in a tough game in Nagoya 94-102. Nagoya DD made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Nagoya DD outrebounded Osaka E. 34-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Nagoya DD players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) who added 17 points and 11 assists during the contest. Dolphins' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Filipino guard Ray Parks (193-1993, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Nagoya DD and four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Nagoya DD maintains fifth position with 17-15 record. Osaka E. at the other side keeps the third place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Akita NH and Kyoto H.. Nagoya DD will play against higher ranked Sunrockers Sh. (#4) in Tokyo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Osaka E. will play on the road against the league's leader Ryukyu in Okinawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
