No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedHappinets (16-16) crushed 8th ranked Robots (7-25) in Akita 88-59 on Sunday. Akita NH forced 24 Ibaraki R. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American Tanner Leissner (201-1995, college: UNH) who scored that evening 17 points and 4 steals and Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (206-1995, college: Texas A&M) supported him with 13 points. Mekowulu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Happinets players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by point guard Kohei Nakamura (181-1996) did not help to save the game for Ibaraki R. . American Eric Jacobsen (208-1994, college: Arizona St.) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akita NH moved-up to third place, which they share with Osaka E. and Kyoto H. Ibaraki R. lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 25 games lost.
