Regular Season Round 32: Ryukyu GK - Tochigi Brex 97-88

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofTochigi Brex (26-6) in Okinawa on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Golden Kings (24-8) 97-88 . It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Ryukyu looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Keve Aluma (206-1998, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn State) added 19 points and 5 assists in the effort for Tochigi Brex. Four Ryukyu and five Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu maintains first position with 24-8 record which they share with defeated Tochigi Brex . Tochigi Brex at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost.
