Regular Season Round 31: Gunma CT - Yokohama BC 74-76

A very close game took place in Gunma betweenB-Corsairs and Thunders . Seventh ranked B-Corsairs (12-19) got a very close victory on the road over much higher ranked Thunders (22-9). B-Corsairs managed to escape with a 2-point win 76-74 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Thunders. Yokohama BC shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Gary Clark (198-1994, college: Cincinnati) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. Estonian center Maik-Kalev Kotsar (210-1996, college: S.Carolina) helped adding 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) scored 7 points and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Yokohama BC maintains seventh place with 12-19 record. Loser Thunders keeps the second position with nine games lost.
