Regular Season Round 31: Ryukyu GK - Tochigi Brex 86-105

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofGolden Kings (23-7) in Okinawa on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by Tochigi Brex (25-5) 105-86 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Golden Kings. Tochigi Brex looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn State) chipped in 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tochigi Brex have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-5 record which they share with defeated Ryukyu . Ryukyu at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost.
