There was no surprise in Tokyo where 15th rankedKanazawa (8-22) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Hachioji Trains (13-19) 81-64 on Friday. Tokyo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa 's 26. Tokyo had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward LG Gill (203-1994, college: Maryland) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Taren Sullivan (198-1995, college: Findlay, OH) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists during the contest. Gill is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Ukrainian center Viacheslav Petrov (204-1994, agency: BIG) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 20 rebounds and American guard Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) scored 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hachioji Trains have a solid three-game winning streak. Tokyo moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Tokushima Gam. Kanazawa lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 22 games lost.
