There was a minor upset when 6th rankedShinagawa (17-12) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Tachikawa (15-13) 103-96 on Friday. Tachikawa made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Shinagawa outrebounded Tachikawa 45-31 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tachikawa looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Jordan Bruner (208-1997, college: Alabama, agency: Diamond Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-1990, college: Oklahoma, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 28 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) produced 31 points and 9 rebounds and center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tachikawa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 15-13 record. Loser Shinagawa keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost.
