Rather expected game when 15th rankedKanazawa (8-20) lost to twelfth ranked Pats Five (11-15) in Yamaguchi 87-98 on Saturday. Yamaguchi dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa 's 36. They outrebounded Kanazawa 42-29 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Yamaguchi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American Freddie McSwain Jr (201-1994, college: Indiana, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored that evening 9 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) supported him with 20 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). McSwain Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Pats Five players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds by American guard Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa . Ukrainian center Viacheslav Petrov (204-1994, agency: BIG) added 20 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yamaguchi maintains twelfth position with 11-15 record. Kanazawa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 20 games lost.
