There was no surprise when 17th rankedTry Hoop (3-27) lost on the road to seventh ranked Niigata A. (15-12) 72-61 on Saturday. The winners were led by the former international guard Kei Igarashi (180-1980) who scored that evening 14 points and 7 assists and center Mutombo Jean-Pierre (206-2002) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Evan Maxwell (208-1995, college: IWU, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Okayama . Point guard Aruma Hamada (178-1997) added 10 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Niigata A. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 15-12 record. Okayama lost eighteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games.
