The most surprising game was a loss of top-rankedExcellence (25-3) in Yokohama on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eleventh ranked Gambarous (13-15) 97-87 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Excellence. Tokushima Gam. had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 assists. Point guard Kedrick Stockman Jr (183-2000) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Four Gambarous players scored in double figures. American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) replied with 37 points (!!!) and his fellow American import forward Cherif Sow (201-1992) added 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Yokohama. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokushima Gam. maintains eleventh position with 13-15 record. Yokohama at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost.
