Regular Season Round 27: Hiroshima D. - Akita NH 74-72

A very close game took place in Hiroshima between Dragonflies and Happinets. Sixth ranked Dragonflies (11-16) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Happinets (13-14). Dragonflies managed to escape with a 2-point win 74-72 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwayne Evans (201-1992, college: St.Louis, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 12 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 blocks. His fellow American import forward Nick Mayo (206-1997, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Tanner Leissner (201-1995, college: UNH) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and French power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hiroshima D. maintains sixth place with 11-16 record. Loser Happinets keeps the fourth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Nagasaki. Hiroshima D. will meet at home higher ranked Akita NH (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Akita NH will have a break next round.
