Not a big story in a game when 8th rankedLakestars (2-24) lost to sixth ranked Alphas (8-18) in Shiga 78-88 on Monday. Brazilian-American center Tim Soares (211-1997, college: Master's) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Filipino-American center Kai Sotto (220-2002) supported him with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Four Alphas players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) by Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Shiga L-Stars . American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) added 21 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. maintains sixth position with 8-18 record. Shiga L-Stars at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the eighth place with 24 games lost.
