There was a minor upset when 6th rankedRobots (7-19) lost to eighth ranked Brave Thunders (6-20) in Kanagawa 78-89 on Sunday. Kawasaki looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. American Alize Johnson (206-1996, college: Missouri St.) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Four Brave Thunders players scored in double figures. Even 31 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Robert Franks (205-1996, college: WSU) did not help to save the game for Ibaraki R. . His fellow American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kawasaki maintains eighth position with 6-20 record, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Ibaraki R. lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with 19 games lost.
