There was no surprise when 7th rankedSwoops (12-12) lost to fourth ranked Big Bulls (16-8) in Iwate 94-99 on Sunday. Iwate forced 21 Gifu turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Clay Mounce (199-1998, college: Furman) nailed 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and point guard Sogo Yamagiwa (179-2002) accounted for 25 points and 11 assists. American forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) came up with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import power forward Zena Edosomwan (206-1993, college: Harvard, agency: Diamond Sports) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Gifu in the defeat. Five Iwate and four Gifu players scored in double figures. Swoops' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Iwate maintains fourth place with 16-8 record. Gifu lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Saitama.
