There was an upset when higher rankedSunRockers (15-9) were edged by eighth ranked Lakestars (2-22) in Tokyo 90-88 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. The winners were led by Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and point guard Taiki Okada (176-1999) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Even 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) by international forward Josh Hawkinson (208-1995, college: WSU) did not help to save the game for Sunrockers Sh. . Kazakhstan-American point guard Anthony Clemmons (187-1994, college: Iowa) added 23 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Newly promoted Shiga L-Stars maintains eighth position with 2-22 record. Loser SunRockers dropped to the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with Shimane SM.
