Very important is a road loss of second rankedGrouses (18-8) against fourth ranked Brave Warriors (16-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Grouses were defeated by Brave Warriors in a tough game in Nagano 89-96 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grouses. Shinshu made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Shinshu outrebounded Toyama G. 49-35 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shinshu players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Toyama G. was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Guard Terrance Woodbury (203-1987, college: Georgia) had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Wayne Marshall (211-1986, college: Temple) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Aaron White (206-1992, college: Iowa, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Thomas Kennedy (201-1987, college: Detroit) scored 28 points. Five Shinshu and four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shinshu maintains fourth position with 16-10 record. Toyama G. at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost.
