Not a big story in a game when 16th rankedVeertien Mie (3-19) lost to fifth ranked Shinagawa (15-8) in Yokkaichi 69-74 on Saturday. Strangely Veertien Mie outrebounded Shinagawa 45-27 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and his fellow American import swingman Michael Craig (196-1991, college: Southern Miss) accounted for 17 points. New Zealand center Callum McRae (216-1999, college: Sacramento St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and American power forward Damonte Dodd (211-1994, college: Maryland) added 8 points and 17 rebounds respectively for Veertien Mie in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shinagawa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 15-8 record. Veertien Mie lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 19 games lost.
