There was no surprise when 7th rankedBallooners (7-15) were defeated on the road by third ranked Osaka E. (12-10) 77-68 on Wednesday. Osaka E. outrebounded Saga B. 34-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ukrainian center Volodymyr Gerun (208-1994, college: Portland) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) responded with 28 points and 4 assists and American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka E. maintains third position with 12-10 record having six points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Akita NH. Saga B. lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Ibaraki R..
