Seventh-rankedAlphas (6-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Tochigi Brex (18-4) in Tokyo on Wednesday. The visitors from Tochigi managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69 . However their fans expected much easier game. American center Grant Jerrett (208-1993, college: Arizona) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (186-1989) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Reiju Sasakura (187-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. Alphas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Tochigi Brex have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-4 record, which they share with Alvark Tokyo and San-en NP. Koshigaya A. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost.
