Regular Season Round 19: Kyoto H. - Shiga L-Stars 93-82

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Kyoto H. (9-10) beat at home 8th ranked Lakestars (1-18) 93-82 on Wednesday. Kyoto H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for American center Charles Jackson (208-1993, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Italian-American forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-1989, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Australian forward Brock Motum (208-1990, college: WSU, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American Markeith Cummings (198-1988, college: KSU) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Kyoto H. and four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kyoto H. maintains fourth place with 9-10 record. Shiga L-Stars lost fourteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with 18 games lost. Kyoto H. will meet at home higher ranked Sea Horses M. (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play against Nagasaki (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
