There was no surprise in Akita where 7th rankedRobots (5-14) were defeated by fourth ranked Happinets (11-8) 61-46 on Wednesday. Akita NH held Ibaraki R. to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.4 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for French power forward Yannis Morin (208-1993, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Shigehiro Taguchi (184-1990) helped adding 10 points. At the losing side American forward Robert Franks (205-1996, college: WSU) responded with 4 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) scored 7 points and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Akita NH moved-up to third place, which they share with Osaka E. Loser Robots keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost.
