No shocking result in a game in Gunma where third rankedThunders (12-6) won against 5th ranked Ballooners (7-11) 86-74 on Sunday. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. German Johannes Thiemann (206-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import Chase Fieler (202-1992, college: FGCU) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ballooners' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Thunders have a solid four-game winning streak. Gunma CT maintains third position with 12-6 record having four points less than leader Shimane SM. Saga B. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Yokohama BC and Nagasaki.
