Very expected game when 7th rankedFirebonds (4-16) lost to third ranked Shizuoka (10-10) in Fukushima 64-72 on Saturday. The winners were led by American forward John Harrar (205-1999, college: Penn State) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds and New Zealand-Irish Finn Delany (200-1995, college: SW Baptist) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Shizuoka's coach used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists by American-Hungarian forward Mikael Hopkins (206-1993, college: Georgetown) did not help to save the game for Fukushima . Lithuanian forward Rapolas Ivanauskas (208-1998, college: Cincinnati) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Shizuoka maintains third position with 10-10 record having four points less than leader Chiba. Fukushima lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 16 games lost.
