Not a big story in a game when 5th rankedBallooners (7-10) lost to third ranked Thunders (11-6) in Gunma 70-84 on Saturday. Gunma CT made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) nailed 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Yuma Fujii (178-1991) accounted for 19 points. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) came up with 17 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Taiki Sumida (182-1999) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Saga B. in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Thunders have a solid series of three victories in a row. Gunma CT maintains third place with 11-6 record having four points less than leader Shimane SM, which they share with Sunrockers Sh. Loser Ballooners keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Yokohama BC and Nagasaki.
