Regular Season Round 20: Kobe S. - Chiba 88-113

An interesting game for Chiba (19-1) which played road game in Hyogo against 4th ranked Storks (9-11). First ranked Chiba had an easy win 113-88. Chiba outrebounded Kobe S. 41-30 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Kobe S.'s players. The winners were led by American center Dererk Pardon (203-1996, college: Northwestern) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import Brandon Ashley (206-1994, college: Arizona) supported him with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Chaundee Brown Jr (195-1998, college: Michigan) did not help to save the game for Kobe S.. Nigerian-American power forward Morris Udeze (206-1999, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the hosts. Five Chiba and four Kobe S. players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chiba have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-1 record. Kobe S. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Bambitious. Chiba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kobe S. will play again against the league's leader Chiba (#1) and hope to secure a win.
