Regular Season Round 17: Ryukyu GK - Nagoya DD 86-68

Rather predictable result when second ranked Golden Kings (11-5) won against 5th ranked Dolphins (8-8) in Okinawa 86-68 on Saturday. Ryukyu dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Dolphins's 30. American forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Jack Cooley (206-1991, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 10 points and 13 rebounds. Four Golden Kings players scored in double figures. American power forward Scott Eatherton (208-1991, college: Northeastern) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-1995) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Nagoya DD in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu maintains second place with 11-5 record having five points less than leader Shimane SM. Loser Dolphins keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Ryukyu will meet at home Nagoya DD (#5) in the next round. Nagoya DD will have a break next round.
