Everything went according to plan in Saga where fourth rankedBallooners (7-9) outleveled 6th ranked Nagasaki (7-9) 80-51 on Sunday. Saga B. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Nagasaki 's 20 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 9 rebounds and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-1990) who added 21 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Mark Smith (193-1999, college: Kansas St.) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import Jarrell Brantley (201-1996, college: Charleston) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Saga B. maintains fourth position with 7-9 record, which they share with Kyoto H. and Nagasaki. Nagasaki lost fifth consecutive game.
