There was an upset in Gifu where higher rankedGambarous (8-8) were defeated by twelfth ranked Swoops (6-8) 102-96 on Saturday. Gifu made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Tokushima Gam. turnovers. The best player for the winners was American forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. New Zealand forward Daniel Fotu (203-1999, college: SMC) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Maxwell (208-1995, college: IWU, agency: Players Group) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Tokushima Gam. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gifu moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Gambarous keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
