Rather predictable result in Nara where fifth ranked Bambitious (6-7) defeated 7th ranked Firebonds (4-9) 78-69 on Sunday. Bambitious made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Fukushima only scored six points from the stripe. Bambitious looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Stephen Zimmerman (211-1996, college: UNLV, agency: Slash Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. The other American import power forward Cameron Jackson (203-1996, college: Wofford) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bambitious N. players scored in double figures. Bambitious N.'s coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (208-1990, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Takaya Iju (179-1993) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively.
