There was no surprise when 8th rankedAlphas (3-11) were outleveled by sixth ranked B-Corsairs (6-8) in Yokohama 87-63 on Sunday. Yokohama BC dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Alphas 's 26. Yokohama BC outrebounded Koshigaya A. 41-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Yokohama BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Estonian center Maik-Kalev Kotsar (210-1996, college: S.Carolina) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American Gary Clark (198-1994, college: Cincinnati) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four B-Corsairs players scored in double figures. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by Brazilian-American center Tim Soares (211-1997, college: Master's) did not help to save the game for Koshigaya A. . American swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yokohama BC moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Hiroshima D. and Ibaraki R..
