We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 13th rankedSwoops (4-8) lost to fourteenth ranked Kanazawa (5-9) in Ishikawa 73-81 on Saturday. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for guard Steven Green (196-1993, college: OKBU) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists. Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-1989, college: St.Mary's, TX) accounted for 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Ryan Logan (200-1994, college: Stonehill) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Zena Edosomwan (206-1993, college: Harvard, agency: Diamond Sports) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for Gifu in the defeat. Four Kanazawa and five Gifu players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kanazawa moved-up to thirteenth place. Gifu lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost.
