There was a surprise result in Tokushima where fourteenth rankedPats Five (4-8) beat higher ranked Gambarous (6-6) 78-65 on Sunday. American forward Blake Preston (206-2000, college: Northwestern) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Yuuki Shigetomi (174-1998) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Four Pats Five players scored in double figures. Pats Five's coach Kazuto Samejima used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Diamond Sports) with 29 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Maxwell (208-1995, college: IWU, agency: Players Group) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Yamaguchi moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Gambarous dropped to the eighth position with six games lost.
